Importing Sales & Commission Data into Repbox

Importing sales and commission data follows the same general process as other imports in Repbox, with one important addition — the Account Aliasing feature. This allows Repbox to match account names in your import file to the correct accounts already in the system, even if the names are spelled differently.

This module is called Sales out of the box, but your company may have renamed it. If you’re not sure which module contains your commission data, check with your Repbox admin.

Preparing Your File

Your sales or commission file should be saved as a CSV. Each row typically represents a single commission entry, with columns for account name, rep, amount, date, and any other relevant fields.

Account names in your file do not need to exactly match the account names in Repbox — the aliasing feature handles this automatically once aliases are set up.

Running the Import - Same process as normal imports

  1. Navigate to the Sales module (or whatever your company has renamed it)
  2. Click the down arrow next to the Add button in the top right
  3. Select Import
  4. Choose your CSV file, confirm header settings, and click Next
  5. Handle duplicates as needed and click Next
  6. Map your columns to the correct fields and click Import

Using Account Aliasing

When importing commission data, account names in your file may not exactly match how they are saved in Repbox. For example, your file might say “Acme Corp” while Repbox has the account saved as “Acme Corporation.”

The Account Aliasing feature lets you create a mapping between those two names so Repbox links the commission to the correct account automatically on every future import.
